Facebookers Firearms Friendly?

91.9% of Facebook users polled would not support "a nationwide handgun ban".

Grabbed this off of FB this morning after taking the poll. After working up a good smirk waiting for the results, I was suprised and delighted to see that a crushing majority of those Facebookers who took the poll would NOT support"a nationwide handgun ban".

I look at this as either hope for the future, proof that we're winning or both.

Of course, I am not certain that anyone is specifically calling for "a nationwide handgun ban" right now, but it's nice to know that when/if such a call went out there are +300K folks on Facebook that would NOT support it.

I'd like to run an "assault weapons" - any ideas on how to word it...anyone?

  1. Things to consider on Facebook are the average users age, which is a young demographic, and that there are a lot of non-US residents who may be voting.

  3. I think it's encouraging to consider the age of the average FB user. I'd like to see the demographics info for the folks that took this poll (and the AWB poll too). Can't get ahold of that, but FB has it.

    Thanks for posting.
